“Until one has loved an animal,
a part of one`s soul remains unawakened.”
~Anatole France.~
As any child will tell you jugglers, clowns
and magicians are the ones who make
people laugh and make them feel happy.
“Jugglers of God”…
A very appropriate name for members of
religious orders, who do their utmost
best to save one’s soul and bring hope
to the downtrodden.
St. Francis of Assisi who helped and
brought hope to the people as well as animals,
was such a person who lived during the
middle ages.
St. Francis had a great love for Jesus and
Our Lady as well as animals and birds.
He also saved the church from doom and
disorder during his lifetime and had
the first foundations laid for the
Basilica Minor of Assisi, Italy.
St. Francis did not start off this way.
He loved to party and win battles in his
earlier years.
One can clearly see there is hope for
all mere mortals to make life on earth
a better place for all.
St. Francis of Assisi is the founder of
the order of the Friars Minor 1182-1226.
The Saint’s feast day is October 4.
The story of St. Francis
is beautifully told by SCT JM.
I must admit that I had never read
or viewed the beautiful story of
“Our Lady’s Juggler”
as told by Anatole France.
