Daily Marvels

Yesterday and Today, two days of wonder!
My heart is singing a song. :)
Today, April 28th, it’s
Saint Buonadonna Day…
A Saint who with her husband St. Luchesio
helped the downtrodden in Italy,
in the 13th Century.
Daily, I try to watch the Roman Catholic
TV Mass on Vision TV.
Today, I listened to
Fr. Thomas Rosica C.S.B.
In his Sermon, Father Rosica spoke about,
St. Luchesio and St. Buonadonna.
A married couple who took great care
of the poor in the 13th century in Italy.
Both passed away on April 28, 1260.
Curious about the story about this
couple who in the 13th century,
far ahead of their time, wanted
a way of sharing in religious life,
but outside the cloister,
I searched for more info.

In his days Saint Francis of Assisi
wrote the following:
“Whoever curses a poor man does an injury
to Christ, whose noble image he wears,
the image of Him who made Himself
poor for us in this world.”
~Saint Francis of Assisi~
When Saint Luchesio one day carried
a crippled man on his shoulders,
a young man
ridiculed him as he said:
“What poor devil are you
carrying on your back?”
Saint Luchesio enlightened him:
“I am carrying my Lord Jesus Christ.”
These words reminded me of something
wonderful that happened to me last night.
While walking our Shih Tzu, I noticed a
household item for sale that we desperately
needed. It seemed to be in good shape
and was, “thanks to the Lord”, a bargain.
The couple who were selling the stove
were extremely helpful and friendly.
They not only delivered the item,
a bit later they refunded us the money.
We had not asked for a refund.
As well, we were happy with the sale.
What was the reason?
It seems we may need an
electrician to look into a problem.
We did not want to accept the refund,
but the lady insisted.
Their generosity touched us deeply.
I ponder how to show our appreciation.
They really have a heart of gold!
If interested, one may watch
the Daily Mass on Vision TV at
8:00 AM or 12:00 PM Mo-Fri and
8:00 AM on Saturdays.
The Sunday Mass may be watched on CBC

May God Bless our benefactors
and
May you all have a Blessed Day!
With thanks to the makers enjoy,
