The first day of a new week…
Sunday!
The word itself has a sunny ring to it although it’s not always sunny on a Sunday
as one can see on above picture taken on a Sunday, if I remember it well.
Though Sunday has been classified throughout the ages as a day of rest
and meditation, quite a few adults have aways worked on that day.
As a child I treasured Sundays as there was always something going on
and special treats had been baked the day before.
Inside the house it looked radiant and if it should rain cats and dogs or if
there were a wind or snow storm expected,
inside the house all was safe and cozy.
Many a game would be played or the family would gather around the radio,
dim the lights,
tell stories, read from a book or turn on the TV and watch a favorite show.
Never
were you called a potato couch that word took a life of its own much, much later.
