Halloween

We are keen on Halloween…
All Hallows’ Eve, All Saint’s Day and All Souls’ Day, also known as “Hallowmas” or “Allhallowtide” are the days remembered by me when I was living in my country of origin, The Netherlands.
Today in some parts of The Netherlands Dutch families have embraced Halloween as it is known in
America, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Poland, to name a few.
In Canada our family fell in love with the Canadian Halloween celebration at the time we learned about this originally Irish traditon.
Since that time we celebrate Halloween each year.
It’s great fun to greet the tricksters ringing the doorbell. To hear the knock on the door and to make and see the costumes.
Its especially a joy hearing the little ones hollering:
“Trick or Treat”!
Not to forget the days leading to Halloween when on a night walk. You can admire all the pretty lights and scary halloween merryment.
It’s a fine autumn custom for young and old.
May you always enjoy a wonderful Halloween
May you not forget your loved ones who are no longer here
May wind and rain chase your little one’s fears away
May the moon and the stars bless their pathway
May giggling witches fly through the night air
May you enjoy the “Trick or Treat” affair.

Should a witches brew frighten you
Just wiggle your nose
Giggle and tap your toes
Let them think you’re one of them too.
Enjoy:
