Around the World…

Posted by on April 28, 2012

Nowadays travelling gents seem to be magicians in flight. Imagine to see the world in almost 3 minutes! There is one draw-back; it seems you have to

start from Dublin and return to Dublin.

It must be a fast world for at least one travel guy. He made the flight with a grin and a jovial hand greeting while planting one foot in one country and the other firmly in the next. What a guy! He must have learned this fast travelling from a tricky leprechaun.

Enjoy the flight!

It made me dizzy and grinning viewing the Dublin to Dublin flight. Munching on a sappy orange, I watched the amazing Dave Cremin performing his card trick act at Times Square in New York City.

“That was a laugh and a cry”,

I thought in the stillness of the early morning, as I wept a tiny tear for the little happy card guy who just went to pieces after having been the hero of a card gimmick.

While listening to the radio forecasting a sunny garden day and pondering what I should do next before I started with my housekeeping chores, I spotted a squirrel in my backyard. He was digging at approximately the same place where one of my neighbour’s dogs, a number of years ago, also liked to dig a hole underneath the fence but at his master’s side. I guess there was nothing to the squirrel’s liking as all of a sudden he ran away as if he had seen a ghost! Happily no feline was trespassing at the same time. They, too, come and go through the garden and are not always pleased to meet each other.

The squirrel had not dug up any plants, I guess he had misplaced his peanut. It must be my lucky day, perhaps, I should buy a lottery ticket today. On second thought, I’m never that lucky, but my garden grows a multitude of lovely flowers.

That’s my Treasure Trove!

The garden trumps the lottery for me.
