It’s a rainy evening in November
But for the folks a happy time to remember
‘Cause Santa is coming to town
Tonight no one is wearing a frown
Right now the folks are having a “Light Parade” blast
Troubles are set aside at last.
The earnest of the yearly Remembrance Parade
The stillness when the Memorial Wreath was laid
The airplane tribute in the sky
Remembering the fallen in years gone by
The sadness of world happenings a few days ago
Is being set aside but not forgotten, no!
