Holiday Poems from the 2012 “Merry Christmas Poems and Tales”
By
Gypsy Joy.
Once there was a girl
Though she, too, had a curl
She did not look
Like the girl from the Mother Goose book.
She could have been a relative though
But I really don’t know
One day on Christmas Eve
She pretended to be Santa and went down the chimney.
It was just her feat
That she would meet
Santa in his holiday attire
Nibbling on a cookie by the fire.
She quickly dropped the toy sack
But Santa gave her a pat on the back
Pointing to the presents and toys
Santa said: “Just what I need for my girls and boys”.
Could not utter
A word
Of any sort.
And when all the presents were neatly piled
Under the Christmas tree
Santa grinned He..He..He.
