Butterfly Memories, they flutter and linger…

Posted by on April 9, 2012

The other day I was looking at my photo albums with many pictures in it from our gardens and my eyes drifted to two delightful butterfly pictures a friend send to me a few years ago when we were both blogging and web-visiting regularly. In the past I have been a Yahoo blogger and won a place on the Canadian “Interesting Yahoo Pages”. I made many friends during that time and we all had a lot of fun till Yahoo changed the blog sphere and most of my friends decided to broaden their horizons. I stayed on, just “hanging in” I told my friends, I really thought all would be soon the same again and my old friends would return and pick up where they had left off. No such luck! Change is good for all of us but I do miss the good old blogging days. We had a lot of laughs and very good times but just as life is short for the pretty butterflies our enjoyable fluttering lasted not long enough to bloom into everlasting blog enjoyment. Though I still have three oldtimer blogfriends from the days gone by with whom to share the good old blogging days. I do miss the candid and merry blog writers from bygone years. Who knows may be a few more will flutter by in the days ahead.

My reflection of the good old blogging days and the butterfly pics was set off by

who used a butterfly phrase on her blog today which stared me point blank in the face early this morning and brought a broad smile. Here was a kindred horse and butterfly WordPressfriend lifting my spirits on this Easter Monday morning with her butterfly phrase : “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.” The phrase kept lingering in my head all morning so I decided to snoop around for more and found many interesting butterfly sites. Surprising what the thought of fluttering butterflies will do to you on a Monday morning… it just brightens the whole day!

Enjoy the amazing journey of the lovely Monarch Butterflies.
