Gardening is a blooming good time
– so let’s get dirty Canada!”
~Frankie Flowers~
Did you know…
June 17, 2016 is Canada’s
National Garden Day.
This garden festivity is a three days
Celebration of Gardens from
June 17 to June 19, 2016.
Held annually on the Friday before Father’s Day.
Even with a trio of garden dwarfs on guard
a gardener can’t get away from a bully.
Read the garden bully on Frankie’s Blog!

A garden without flowers is like
a day without a glorious sunray.

Frankie talks about Canada’s
Perennial plant of the year 2016
Anemone xhybrida
common name “Japanese anemone aka
windflower, Honorine Jobert”.
Don’t overwater this beauty; their
delicate feet don’t like to be wet!
Between you and me…
Anemone xhybrida so white and bright
gave me a little fright.
If the planting conditions are right
this “windflower” will sway gracefully
but may become a garden bully.
Should the planting area lack the
required conditions this garden beauty
will not sway but wither away.
However,
Every gardener likes a challenge.
Try it… You may like it!
