The Dutch Battle

The Dutch battle with the sea is not a
“Live and Let Live” rule most of the
tolerant and easy going Dutch usually
tend to apply in their daily life.
The Netherlands wants more land from the sea.
The mighty sea, with help from
Mother Nature,
is determined to win back what was taken.
Understandable from both sides.
Young “Fisherman” in training. :)
However, the Dutch having worked hard
for the claimed land and in the past
suffered from human, house and land loss
to the sea, are determined to win the battle.
Although they like to go with the flow!
So it is and will be a struggle forever.
Who will win at the end, no one knows.
The sea is the Netherlands “Best Friend”
but occasionally a terrifying foe.
