Gardening Seasons
By

March has sprung!
As per the Old Farmer’s Almanac
peonies are like children they
need time to establish & grow well.

Gardeners minds are turning to seeds.
Clean-up and planting soon will be here.
Before I jump into digging in our garden
the snow must melt first and the soil
must be a lot dryer as it is now.
Meaning¸
as soon as Frosty the Snowman
hastily runs away!
But we can start preparing ourselves and
the kids for the garden season to come.
Even if you don`t have a garden outside,`
seeds can be nurtured indoors for herbal,
flowering or just leafy plants to grow.
They can be a great conversational piece
for adults and the youngsters.
As the little ones usually come first,
it may be nice to draw their attention
to illustrations and stories about seeds.
You never know what the young
can teach the seasoned gardeners.
Sometimes kids just know best.
