Dian Fossy
born January 16, 1932 was a remarkable lady who most likely would have celebrated her 82 birthday today among her beloved gorillas in the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda, Africa.
Her untimely death in December 1985 stunned most of the world who liked, knew and supported Dian Fossey for her groundbreaking work with the African gorillas to whom she devoted her life and loved and cared for deeply.
All arrested in connecton with Dian Fossey’s death were released.
A tracker who had been fired months before her death died while in prison and an American gentleman wo was convicted in absentia, having returned after her death to the USA, cannot be sentenced unless he returns to Rwanda. However, there is doubt that this person or even the tracker had anything to do with Dian Fossey’s death.
Dian Fossey’s case remains unsolved.
