Horse Nostalgy…

Posted by on March 26, 2012

Although I never owned or rode on a grownup horse and only have petted ponies, I am very fond of horses and admire their  beauty, intelligence, regality, strength, trust and loyalty to adults and children. Perhaps my fascination with this noble animal was fostered at an early age because of my Dad’s love for horses, or the fine horses I adored while growing up and watched in amazement when they trotted along the streets pulling wagons and coaches with ease.

Not to forget the impressive sight when as a child you see a mountie on a horse or each year in December the Dutch Saint Nicholas waiving at the crowd while the holy man sits sadled on the most magnificent white horse you have ever laid your eyes on. When you grow up and become familiar with the Zorro legends, the Black Stallion shows, cavalerie, cowboys and wild horses, your admiration grows and grows.

Enjoy the song-story of a Hero Horse named Sergeant Reckless!
