It’s possible to build your own Inukshuk as

Henry the Happy Caterpillar

will show you here below.

What to do first?

Watch the slideshow here below and look carefully at the Inukshuk photo, which is the 13th photo

listed between Tom Tailor Trail Boardwalk (2) and View from Walking Bridge.

If you live near New Market in Ontario visit the Fairy Lake Park.

Location,  info, history and the Inukshuk statue on the link below:

The stones for the Inukshuk Statue when placed together and balanced will make a manlike statue.

What you will need:

A total of 9 or 10 stones to balance the statue.

How to use and place the stones:

1 Large (flat) horizontal stone is used as a platform for the Inukshuk.

2 Vertical (upright) stones are needed for the legs.

1 Horizontal stone shorter than the platform horizontal stone to be placed on the legs.

3 Horizontal stones, each one smaller than the other, to make the body.

1 Or 2 horizontal stones approximately the same length as the horizontal stone are used for the body to make the neck.

1 Short vertical stone, for the head.

You can make a smaller or larger Inukshuk but always balance the stones accordingly.

Have Fun!
