Winter Poems
By
Gypsy Joy.
Enjoy some of my “January” 2013 winter poems
I posted this winter on my GypsyJoyStoryville facebook page.
A Fairy Dream…
Giant bubbles
Dreamy colours
Dancing in the azure blue sky.
Frosty…
Last night I looked through my window
To my surprise our snowman had become very low
If we don’t get soon more snow
We have an other melting Frosty beau.
Happy New Year…
Time is ticking away but do not grieve
About what you did not achieve
The days ahead are young
Smile the New Year’s Baby is here
The new year has only just begun.
I Should have Slept in…
“What is this all about”
I heared myself shout
Looking anxiously around
I quickly closed my mouth
And fast ran out
As I was about to pout
Over talking aloud.
Nature’s Gifts…
Butterflies and flowers
Enrich our fantasy
Whispering a sweet melody
Of nature’s flower power.
Philosophy…
C utie is my name
A nd I am sweet, content and tame
T hough if you scare me this is what you see.
Poetry in Motion…
Eyes that sparkle
Lips moving quickly
A Mouth and tongue
Utter words that last
A Body moving fast
With Hands that Speak.
Seven Tears have Flown into the River…
Three sad faces and seven tears
Reveal their yearning and fears
A very touching sight
With landscapes tranquil and bright
A trumpet played flawless and clear
Telling us about a heart’s tear.
Spellbound…
Thoughts can be spellbound
Grinned the spotted hound
I am a Dalmation
Ready to save the Nation
But I don’t see
The Firemen calling for me.
Unique…
Children and animals are unique in many a way
Just watch them when they play
How tender they care
As they without fear or prejudice share
Their company in joy and ease
Finding lasting friendship and inner peace.
Years Gone By…
Looking through an old album
What did I find?
Flamingos here
Flamingos there
Flamingos everywhere.
