Father Martin Royackers untimely death occurred in Jamaica in 2002 at the St. Theresa’s parish at Annotto Bay, the Caribbean island’s eastern shore, where he had been serving the community and his five beloved Parishes for six years as a Jesuit missionary.
Father Martin was born on 14 November 1959 and died on 20 June 2001.

The Canadian martyr was of Dutch ancestry. During his youth he lived in Parkhill, Ontario and studied to become a Jesuit at the noviciate in Guelph. After ordination, he enjoyed six years working at the farm and the University of Guelph before moving to Eastern Jamaica where he was in charge of five Parishes.

May Father Martin Rest in Peace

among his beloveth people at Annotto Bay in Eastern Jamaica whom he loved the most and they loved him dearly as well.
