Lovingly Remembering You…
Remembering your broad happy smile
Most often spontaneous at other times shy
As you opened your eyes wide
So sparkling and blue like the sky
Conquering our heart
From the very first start.
Your birthday on the 26th of May I will never forget
So, too, the fun and laughs as a young family we had
Especially, when you as a young troubadour
With your sister and brother made your first song debut
In a trio sing-a-long song of
“Shiver me timbers”
Which recording we send across the miles
To delight Grandma’s and Anita’s place
Resulting in an overseas visit to Canada’s lakes.
As a baby, toddler and teenage lad
you were a merry and handsome sight
Tall and slender and computer bright
I wanted to buy you a computer and help with your business idea
I still see the beautiful turning spiral spheres you made
So sorry you had to wait
By destiny the business package arrived too late.
When the leaves and flowers gently sway
And I walk through the gardens I see you play
Street hockey, skateboarding, performing stunts on your bike
You were a busy teenager and devoted car tyke
Helping me rake leaves in the fall
Always running up to me with a smile
Remembering you brightens my daily life.
Love you, always!
With God’s Blessings May you Rest in Peace
We will meet again!
