“Silver Snaffles”…

I have always loved animals and as a child I read a lot of horse books.
I had a particular favorite called “Silver Snaffles”
which my mother gave away.
~Drew Gilpin Faust~

Sounds familiar, does not it?

I love words, quotes and videos :) and a lot more!
I felt mesmerized by the words “Silver Snaffles”, so I “Googled”.
I learned, the book was published in 1937 and written by

Primrose Cumming

born in the UK on April 7th 1915.

The word “Snaffles” intrigued me.
After a quick search I found myself sidetracked in
Hakodate Hokkaido Japan gazing at
Cheese tarts, Snowballs, Chocolate and Cheese Catch Cakes!

Yummy… Yummy!

Finally I arrived at the “Real Snaffles” destination
and read the fascinating story of the author:

 After checking:

I learned that the author loved horses and country life,
gardening and flower arranging and
exhibited in her time
at the Chelsea Flower Show in the UK;
as well she was a volunteer during WWII and passed away at 89 in 2004.

May this beloved writer Rest in Peace!
