Holidays

On New Year Canadians love to jump into a frozen lake to ring in the New Year!
The first snowflakes are a treat especially when they fall on Christmas day.
But, a dip in a frozen lake on a freezing windswept wintry day is not something I am able to enjoy.
Just thinking about it bring on the chills for me.
My heart is more into sprinkling faery dust onto the world on New Year.
Unfortunately, 2014 New Year is pretty cold in my area in Ontario.
Looking around me, the damage done earlier by King Frost and the Snow Queen,
can bring on a level of agitation to the most optimistic person.
Luckily, there are cold things that may lift the extreme winter spirits.
Snuggling up on the sofa with a slice of homebaked christmas cake. Nanaimo treats. A mug of hot chocolate topped with sweet marshmallows. Enjoying a video, with or without sweet company, is sure to keep one cozy and warm.

Wherever you may be today…
Have the best New Year’s Day ever and
May all your endeavors be granted in 2014!
