On Christmas Eve…

Posted by on December 24, 2012

Winter Poems from the 2012 “Merry Christmas Poems and Tales”

By

Gypsy Joy.

While the deer tiptoe

In the fresh fallen snow

Santa knows it’s best

To let man’s best friend rest

By the fire

On Christmas eve his pet is not for hire.

 Come Spring

He is ever ready for a swim

In Summer he gets in a whirly trance

When he sees the fireflies dance

Come Autumn he chases the leaves

And keeps away the toy thieves.

Winter and Christmas chores are tiresome

When Christmas Eve comes along

Santa’s pet cuts down on the daily chase

And dreams by the warmth of the fireplace

On Christmas Eve begins his relaxing winter time

And that’s the end of this rhyme.
