Angel Stories

If we were all like angels
The world would be a heavenly place.

Many of my friends and I believe in angels,
especially guardian angels as well as the
angels in disguise we so often meet.

In our darkest moment we may turn to an
angel for help, or they may just be there
to get us safely out of a difficulty,
we could not possibly handle alone.

I was thinking about this today while
reading a few angel stories on:

The stories reminded me of a situation my
daughter and I were in during a blistering
winter storm in a rural area far away
from civilization.

During the drive down from the city,
we had not seen anyone travelling along
the same road we were on, when the truck
my daughter was driving stalled.

I had been thinking that evening quite
a bit of the times, when we as a family
were all united together.

Our eldest son passed away years ago,
a few months before his 18th birthday.
He is always on my mind.

As I am in the habit of asking heaven
for help when I can’t handle a situation,
I asked our gardian angel son to help us
to get the stalled truck to work.

My prayer request was heard. After a while
our daughter got the truck to work.
The rest of the driving went as smoothly
as was possible, considering the heavy
snowfall and the isolated icy road.

Angels are always guiding us,
mere mortals,
so are the angels in disguise. :) 

The latter brings me to sing

Happy Birthday

to our youngest son who is absolutely
our angel in disguise as he is always
there for you when you need it most.

Dear Son and Brother…
Your Sister and Mother
And all the Pets, too
Are wishing you
A very Happy Birthday
And many good wishes
To make your dreams come true.
We will not forget
The happiness you bring
That’s why we all sing
