Friday’s Fools’ Jewels
By
*Gypsy Joy*
The first of April
is the day we remember what we are
the other 364 days of the year.
~Mark Twain~
April 1st is a
Razzling-dazzling foolish day
All around the Globe
Funny riddles and stories are told
Folks young and old play a hoax.
A lad ringing my door bell
Said in earnest he was send to tell
Aliens flying around on a tine
Had landed by a few friends of mine
Could I quickly bring confetti
And a pot full of true Italian spaghetti.
I knew something was definitely wrong
So I decided to play along
Sure lad I said just pick the wee
Spaghetti growing on my tree
Here wear my garden glove
And simply just re-heat on the stove.
Happy April Fools’ Day!
