The Netherlands.
Every season is special in every country.
Winter may be cold, warm or wet.
It all depends were you are during that season.
Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent in 2016,
has passed. Not without incident in Columbia.
There the ashes caused a rash.
The three days before Ash Wednesday,
Europe celebrated carnival.
Weather was stormy in The Netherlands,
e-mailed a family friend.
The large float parade
in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the province of North
Brabant was cancelled due to stormy weather.
It did not dampen the Saturday carnival
spirit for the youngsters and adults.
The arrival of the youth prince and his
entourage made them brave the cold.
Enjoy a bit of their carnival magic.
Don’t understand the language…
No problem!
Turn the volume up to listen to the music
and down if the language bothers you.
The merry faces, will bring a smile.
With thanks to the makers, enjoy:
The arrival and parade of
Youth Prince Olivier I
in ‘s-Hertogenbosch “Oeteldonk”
the City of Hieronymus Bosch.
