After Mrs. Claus and Santa had watched

“The White Sisters in Blue”

Santa said to Mrs. Claus I have to applause the sisters in blue.
There is absolutely no way they would ever stray.
I can tell because I know them very well.

That certainly might be true, said Mrs. Claus, but dear if I may
interrupt, I believe I just saw your sleigh run away.

Immediately Santa blew on his horn and three security elf guards
came running as fast as they could.

Santa stared at the four pretty blue candles Mrs. Santa had
placed in front of the parlour’s window.

The candles seemed to flicker a bit more as on the days before.
Where they sending a message and to whom?
After Santa explained the alarming situation, the elf crew
left to search for the runaway sleigh.

Luckily elves can fly in the sky and pretty soon they had
caught up with the runaway sleigh. At first they thought that
Santa’s sleigh was bewitched as they did not see a soul.

Who is flying Santa’s sleigh, they said to each other.

No reindeer to detect anywhere!

The sleigh bells are ringing and we hear singing but
there does not seem to be anyone guiding Santa’s sleigh.

Unnoticed by the elves a falling sparkling blue snowflake
jumped in and out of Santa’s sleigh.

As the elves tried to land in the sleigh they were pushed away.
Who was pushing they did not know. There seemed to be no one
else around, thus they kept trying till the youngest elf heard
a wee voice calling out:

“Catch me if you can!”

Where did the voice come from? Suddenly the youngest elf caught
sight of a jumping sparkling blue snowflake. Gestering to the
other elves they tried together to catch the snowflake, who like
a ghost kept slipping away.

The senior elf called Santa from his mobile and told him all
about it. While the elves stayed close to Santa’s sleigh the
runaway sleigh and the wee blue snowflake drifted further away.

Santa asked the senior elf if the wee snowflake was shiny white
or sparkling blue.

“sparkling blue” the senior elf replied.

Santa answered with a loud:

“Ho Ho Ho… I have a plan!”

The three of you have to fly back home immediately.
In the meantime I will satelite my blue star photo through the sky
to guide the runaway sleigh to find its way home. This will
bring the sparkling blue snowflake back to where it belongs.

Where might that be Santa asked the elf.  Sorry, that is top
secret, replied Santa, but don’t worry all will be okay soon.

All went according to Santa’s plan. In no time Santa’s sleigh
was back where it belonged.
The snowman by the terrace near the parlour played

“I will be Home for Christmas…”

Beneath the roof above the parlour’s patio doors, the sparkling
blue snowflake jumped up and down and had a wonderful time.

Santa and Mrs. Claus smiled.

Santa’s Christmas sleigh was back in time for Christmas Eve.
The reindeer, the elves and the toys were happy again.

Peace had returned to Santa’s Village in the North Pole.

 THE END!
