Writing may be an exercise for the mind
A pleasure for the soul and joy to the heart
But don’t forget the fingers who do all the work.
~Gypsy Joy~
Throughout the year the computer, gardening and crafts, especially
at Chrismastide, keep our fingers, hands and mind in practice.
Imagine how busy the fingers of the famous author
Lucy Maud Montgomery 1874-1942
the writer of the Anne Shirley books, famous around the world for writing
“Anne of Green Gables” in 1908, must have been.
Google is celebrating the author’s birthday today with three Google Doodles!
In Ottawa the Anne and Gilbert musical opens on Dec. 2, 2015.
In cold climates, the winter can be a fun season for young and old.
Hobbies, snowflakes and icerinks keep us entertained and exercised.
Bell TV’s Fireplace channel (Canada) warms the heart of visitors and mine.
The merry songs during the Christmastide make you forget the cold.
‘Though the song:
“It’s cold outside baby” reminds you every minute of it.
Watching the magnificent
Coca Cola Christmas commercials
always bring everyone in a festive mood.
With thanks to the makers enjoy:
