Canada may be indeed the “Land of Opportunity”

to many who are born here or call Canada their beloved New Fatherland. The government of Canada and its people have a brave and good heart and most of them are always ready to help the poor and or defend the unfortunate countries around the world.

It’s therefore very sad to have to acknowledge that there are many, many people and children in Canada who live in very poor circumstances and who may be considered just as poor in every way as the poor in other parts of the world.

Soial issues don’t exist only in other countries around the world they do exist in Canada as well.

One wonders if a nation can take care of others why is it that there is so much unemployment e.g. in the province of Ontario Canada.
Hundreds of thousands of people and children in Canada are living in extreme conditions and go hungry or don’t have a roof above their head.

Why are there so many bankrupties? Even in 2013 Labour Unions still have to fight for the rights of workers. Why is it that there is so much unemployment and inflation? And why are there uncountable skilled workers, university, college and trade educated people in Canada who can’t find a decent job in their land of opportunity?

Why does one in a large country as Canada has to live and/or work in overcrowded cities? Why does it not seem to be possible to build new roads, buildings, houses, farms, schools, hospitals, police stations, diverse businesses, hotels, etc. in other areas of this vast country?

It would be a much healthier living style, less pollution in the big cities and safer driving on the highways. Most importedly it would  provide much needed employment. It would bring in much needed income and attract a new and likely a younger population to the countryside. More taxes for the government and opportunities to many who are now unemployed. Future skilled newcomers would have a better chance to be employed upon arriving in Canada.

Canada

is a most beautiful country with attractive parks, seasons and provincies, multicultural diversity and has many opportunities, which nobody will deny. 

Unfortunately

at present it is not the land of opportunities for many of its inhabitants or a newcomer

and that is a sad reality.

Perhaps prayers to

Our Lady of Combermere in Ontario

to ask for Divine interference to help the many poor and the unemployed in a country that has been blessed with so much splendour and capable people, will bring deprived Canadians and Newcomers in Ontario and in all of Canada the dignity they deserve.
