While taking a break from my chores I hit upon a story about World Storytelling Day. The subject took me on a happy journey of discovering some interesting videos about different subjects from 2003 on. Each year a new theme is being chosen. This year it was all about “trees”.
I missed out on this year’s date of March 20th. It would have been such fun to read and write about it, I love trees. Even a death tree is often enormous interesting to look at and to ponder about. Not to forget all the roots that often are spawn above the ground showing their interesting shapes. If trees could talk they would have some awesome stories to tell.
World Storytelling Day started off in Sweden in 2003 and became soon known worldwide. In 2004 the theme of Birds was introduced. In 2005 – Bridges, 2006 The Moon, 2007 The Wanderer, 2008 Dreams, 2009 Neighbours, 2010 Light and Shadow, 2011 Water, 2012 Trees. Next year in 2013 the theme will be Fortune and Fate and in 2014 Monsters and Dragons as per
