Halloa Friends and Fans,
While Little Lion was out I have been
mending his Teddy Bear.
Visions of Teddy Bear pic-nics,
bear songs, stories, rhymes and
Haiku poems appeared in my mind.
What is a “Haiku”?
A Haiku is a short Japanese poem.
Let’s explore this a bit.
It’s a poem of syllables,
usually consisting of 3 sentences.
First and third sentence must have
five syllables
and the middle sentence seven.
A quick explanation:
“Poem” has 1 syllable,
“Hai-ku” has 2 syllables and
“Syl-la-ble” has 3 syllables.
Below is a fun link to explore this topic.

To come back to the “bears”
Canada has black bears, brown bears
and grayish grizzly bears,
including the white Spirit Bear.
Read all about
“The Home of the Kermode Spirit Bear”
and the story about spirit bear facts and

Children’s Hospital in Canada
has a “Dr Goodbear” Club
anyone can join, there is no age barrier.

A picnic in summer
inspired a winter Haiku,
Warm sunshine gone
Frost and snowflakes on the way
Kermode roaming the land.

So long!
Hullo Friends and Fans,
it’s I, Little Lion!
Hope you are enjoying this wintry Saturday.
Blog Muse aka “Mistress Mommy”
told me that she was going to pass on
“Haiku poems & Bear” fun so I dedicated
my Teddy sing-a-long to you.
It is titled:
“My Teddy is Mine”
by
*Little Lion*
Dedicated to my Fans and Friends
and all the Bears in the world.
“My Teddy is Mine”…
Friends, I like you to know
Don’t share your Teddy Bear
He is yours and yours alone.
Clap your hands and sing the refrain:
My Teddy is mine
and I love him to pieces…
It does not matter to me
If my Teddy is soiled
Or looks ragged and old.
Stamp your feet and sing the refrain:
My Teddy is mine
and I love him to pieces…
New Teddies are plump
Handsome and clean
But my Teddy has spirit and sheen.
Clap your hands and sing the refrain:
My Teddy is mine
and I love him to pieces…
Should anyone try to come near
Hear Ye – Hear Ye – Hear Ye
Don’t share your Teddy Bear…
Stamp your feet and sing the refrain:
My Teddy is mine
and I love him to pieces…
The End!
Bye-Bye,
have a beary good weekend.
See you Next Saturday!
Photos as always by yours truly!
With thanks to everyone for the animations,
links and the artists and makers of the jolly bear below. :)
