Woof… Woof… hello to all of you!

What do canines know about puppetry
and the story of Pinocchio?

A lot!

He-he-he who was roaming
the streets and woods before housepets
were walked on a leash?

NOW, I got y’r attention, did not I?

Grrr…  Grrr…

Little puppet made of pine,
awake.
The gift of life is thine.

:) We know the Blue Fairy very well!

Did you know that World Puppetry Day
was first celebrated, March 21, 2003?

The puppet theater artist
Javad Zolfaghari from Iran
suggested this in the year 2000.

All throughout the world
young and old love watching puppetry
and listening to the stories being told.

The other day, I overheard the mistress
giggling about the Dutch Puppets
Jan Klaassen and his spouse Katrijn
and the antics of the puppets dog.

The mistress company had fun talking
about “Punch’s Past” and
“Carry On Punch & Judy.”

As well they chatted about the
Holland, Michigan, Dutch Tulip Festival
held in the USA each May.

More about this year’s tulip festival on:

Puppeteers from Naples will tell you
that Pulcinella gave puppetry fame to
the Low Lands in Europe.

I am sooooo glad Pulcinella did!

The performances are fun for young and old
especially if they are held on the beach.

The Sea creatures must love the puppetry
beach performances, too.

The rumour is that they eagerly await
the Puppetry News.

Watch the videos and you will understand
puppetry fun for mere mortals and canines.

Grrr… Grrr…

Enjoy the gallery and the videos!

My adventure today is relaxing
with my mistress and watching the Holland,
Michigan, puppetry show with Jan Klaassen.

I hope you can relax and have fun, too.

Have a great weekend.
Tune in again next Saturday!

By the way,
“Poppenkast” means “Puppetry Show”.

With thanks to the makers, enjoy:
