 To our American neighbours:

A Blessed and Peaceful Memorial Day on November 26th, 2015!

A while ago I stumbled on a Tree poem written in august 1913 by

(Alfred) Joyce Kilmer

a Soldier and Poet killed at the age of 31 in WWI.

“I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree”.

Not long thereafter I found by serendipity a
Dutch-American heritage site
and read the touching travel story about the
Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest in North Carolina.

Enjoy, too, the tree poem sung by Paul Robeson.
