Christmas Poems

Sit tight!
Magic is all around us, especially at the end of the year,
when the clock strikes 12 at midnight…
Once upon a time a Jester in a faraway land
Waiving excitedly with his hand
His jingle bells ringing with cheer
Cried intensely folks hear hear
Before the year ends and the clock strikes twelve
We will have a visit from a Jolly old Elf.
To the stunned folks it seemed like a dream
The Jester assured the visit was real
The crowd cheered with great applause
‘Cause the visitor had to be Santa Claus
They wanted to rush home to tell
When the Jester again started ringing his bell.
He chanted hear… hear…
Santa is having a nightmare
During daytime he is not talking
At night he and his reindeer are sky walking
When Santa’s sleigh flies above your house
You must be as still as a mouse.
Late that night by the light of the moon
The folks watched the sky and soon
There appeared Santa’s reindeer and sleigh
They feared the worst when they heard a horse’s neigh
It was almost New Year and it was pretty cold
But the loud neigh cured Santa’s nightmare I am told.
All is well that ends well!
With thanks to the maker enjoy:
