In ‘s-Hertogenbosch,
the capital of the Province of North Brabant in The Netherlands,
stands an old statue in the sweet Virgin’s chapel of the St. Jan’s (St. John’s) Cathedral depicting the Sweet Virgin and her Holy Child. Many prayer’s are being said daily by the inhabitants as well as visitors visiting the chapel. Many miracles have been attributed to the Sweet Virgin and her Holy Child.
In the month of May
a special procession is being held through the same city streets were the statue of the Sweet Virgin and her Holy Child is believed to have walked through the poorest streets and the centre of the city. When I was a youngster we would walk 9 days in a row through the same streets while praying the rosary. Nobody felt ashamed of it and why would they. Sincere prayers are a blessing for the soul and the heart. Praying time with the Holy Virgin and Jesus brings peace to many in the turmoil of our world.
In 1985, the Cathedral received the honorary title of basilica from Pope John Paul II.
Enjoy children singing Ave Maria.
