Some years ago I purchased a Canadian-Dutch heritage book:
“Brabanders in Canada” by J. Dortmans.
This week I started re-reading it.
I never shun an occasion that brings
a smile and fine memories.

The little rascal also did his
Charlie Chaplin Dance
when I showed him a pair of Dutch clogs.
Now our sweet, happy companion Shi Poo
wants Dutch clogs from St. Nicholas!
Why? Because…
he wants to stay in touch with the Dutch!
The little rascal watched the video below
and now he has a fondness for
“Dutch Wooden Shoes.”
So he can fly like the sweet heroine
in the wooden shoe tale. LOL!
The little bugger started a
Tall-Tall Woof-Woof conversation
to put “Dutch Fancy Clogs” on his
Santa list and to mail it right away,
so the Dutch St.Nicholas can drop by
on December 5th at Santa’s Toy Workshop at,

to deliver that evening a set of
Dutch magic wooden shoes for him,
so they can be delivered by Santa Claus
in Canada on Christmas Eve.
Can you believe it!
Little Lion can be very strong willed!
But hey, he is the apple of my eye…
how can I refuse!
He is also a terrific guardian of our homestead,
and most of the times not demanding.
As well he is a good humored sweetheart.
