Shih Tzu Tales

*Little Lion*
Hi Friends,
It’s that day of the week again :)
Just a minute… the phone is ringing!
Hullo, you have reached Little Lion
in Canada…
Hello, Hello Little Lion,
This is cousin Djerull calling.
Its a hot day, we are swinging in a
hammock and the palm trees are swaying.
Can you hear me Little Lion?
Arrrch matey Djerull, I receive you fine.
Wass-up!
I wanted to tell you about the
story of the witch of the woods
who was a great singer.
Unfortunately she was so ugly that
she only during the night left
her house in the woods.
When it was full moon the moon fay and
the star children would dance at the
“Lake of the Woods.”
They danced during the light of the moon
and always returned before dawn to
the heavenly stars.
It so happened that one night seven
star children disobeyed the moon fay.
“Come my darling star children,”
said the moon fay,
“it’s almost morning.
If you don’t come with me now
something terrible is going to
happen to you and you cannot return
to the heavenly stars.”
The animals who were awake at night
tried to warn the star children, too.
But they laughed and kept dancing.
The seven star children
who ignored the moon fay’s warning
were bewitched by the ugly witch
when she sung her bewitching song.
Now they can only dance when the
clock strikes twelve
at midnight and thereafter they
stand as still as a statue
and are transformed into seven
waterlily buds.
“Do you know this fairy tale?”
“Yes Djerull,”
the mistress told me this story.
Queen Fabiola from Belgium is the
author of this famous fairy tale.
The Efteling brought the tale to life.
Everyone loves it!
“That’s true, Little Lion.”
Sometimes my mistress shows the
picture on her desktop, Djerrull.
She likes it a lot.
By the way cousin,
my mistress showed me some fantastic
pictures from your mistress garden.
I would love to explore that garden.
Does your garden have a name?
No, Little Lion.
Does your garden have a name?
Good question Djerull.
I will have to ask the mistress.
I will let you know next time.
By the way,did you watch
the strawberry moon this week?
No, Little Lion I did not. Did you?
“Nope!”
Here comes the mistress!
I have to go for my walk now.
“Okay Little Lion let’s chat soon!”
“Agreed! Over and Out Djerull!”
Nice chap that Dutch cousin.
All year long there is much to see and
hear in the Efteling in The Netherlands!
Before I go friends, I have to pass on a
message from the “Daily Marvels” column.
The week’s story will appear next week.
The mistress is kept very busy gardening.
:) You see…
she is making a special nook for me!
See you all next week!
Tune in again on Saturday :)
With thanks to the makers, enjoy
the fairy tales that come alive
in
Efteling’s
“Winter Fairy Tale Forest!”
