A Caravan full of Poems
By
*Gypsy Joy*.
Hi! Sorry, I have been busy in the New Year with this and that and did not have much time left to post here or to chat.
I did write a couple of new poems, quotes and stories which I will post in due time. I hope today’s contribution, the 1st in the Caravan 2015 Series of Poems will bring a smile.
Leprechaun Time…
I, Sean the Leprechaun
Flew across the mile
To bring y’all a smile
Me’ girl and me’ lad
Tell ya’ Mom and Dad
To teach you this song
‘Cause not before long
It’s going to be
Leprechaun Day
For the old and the wee.
Here ya’ go sing high and low…
‘Tis the time of the year
When Leprechauns are here
Looking a wee bit old
Carrying sacks of gold
Never forget they only want to be seen
When they spray the rivers green
Don’t ever chase them
‘Cause if you do
Their spell of gold might bewitch you!

Haughty Feline to Naughty Canine…
Are you dreaming of green beer
While I am sitting here
To spy with my green eye
When that Leprechaun
Will come along
Don’t you remember you told
You would grab his sack of gold?
I have not seen a penny new or old
Nor a Leprechaun but have you not been told
That the Leprechauns have fled
They found the snow too cold and wet
Bunnies and Easter eggs are on the way
I am relieved though a bit astound
That you have not spot the peeps around.
