Tall Tales
by
Zoe.
Grrrrr…last night, I turned around all night thinking about Fright Night.
I did not get many winks but I did come up with a halloween poem.
Witches and black cats don’t scare me…
No Sirree!
Even at nine weeks I was friendly and pretty fierce.
Just ask my mistress she took the above picture of me.
‘Tis Near Halloween…
Black cats are creeping
Through the gardens at night
Thinking they are not seen
Not knowing ghosts spotted their sight.
While the ghosts hover unseen
Mother moon lits the paths
With a twinkle in her eye
To safely guide the witch’s black cats.
The young Halloween witch missing her cats
Circles around through the moonlit night
She needs them home in time
For her evening of fright.
Crudely awaken by a thud
A frog sleeping in a ditch
Croaks, oh that’s what it was
When he sees the crashed witch.
Above them a lucky star
Twinkles and hums a halloween tune
When she spots the cackling witch
Lying in the ditch with her broom.
Nana likes my halloween poem so much she is posting the couplets one
by one on her facebook timeline and GypsyJoyStoryville page.
Till tomorrow… Sleep well!
Grrrrr…
Smile ‘Tis near Halloween!
