A Poem a Day

Day 4
Tray of the Day…
Once I went for a luncheon
In a little but cozy cafe
I did not know what to muncheon
So I ordered their tray of the day.
The waiter stared for a moment at me
And came back with a loaded tray
He poured me a cup of tea
Startled I did not know what to say.
There before me staring
Lay the biggest fish what was I to do
This monster of a herring
Surely would send me to the loo.
Suddenly I got an idea
Quickly I stuffed the staring fish
In a sandwich baggy
I knew who would welcome this monstrous dish.
