Holiday Poems from the 2012 “Merry Christmas Poems and Tales”

Lady Ladybug,
since you changed your name to
Ladyhug
and are secretly in love with
Mr. Ladybug
where oh where are you hiding?
One day you will marry and roam, please, fly not too far from your home.
We know through three seasons you must roam. But, remember the story from long ago when your relative’s house was on fire.
It must have been shocking to have to track down the little tikes.
As the different stories go
Aileen
hid in the soup-tureen,
little Anne
crept under the warming pan,
little Nan
sat in her pan weaving her laces as fast as she could and
little John
hid under the grindle stone.
Lady Ladyhug
as soon as you will be
Mrs. Ladybug
promise to roam but to stay close to your home!
