Dear Papa…

It was on a rainy September day
The darkness of war came our way
For it wounded you without hope of recovery
Though we all prayed fervently.

God’s Will is often difficult to understand
Loving hearts do not easily mend
For heart and mind it is a strive
Although to God all are alive.

We will forever remember
The 21st of November
It was on that evening you departed
Leaving your loved ones broken hearted.

In Heaven you are not alone
Mama and many loved ones were to join
On earth our love for you
Will never fade, too.
